Financial difficulties, obsessive compulsive, busy, shyness, insecurity; these are all excuses I have made to avoid Gods calling for my life. We all have issues, and God is working on my heart! I know none of my listed difficulties are from God. Satan has controlled these areas of my life for the last four to six months, and I can’t believe I have let it go this long. My weekend was LIFE CHANGING, and boy did I learn BARGE loads! I had the chance to experience three different churches: Elevation, Bentons Cross Roads Baptist, and my home church Stevens Creek Church. Elevation was on FIRE! People worship, sing, and learn as if it will be the last time they will get to honor God on this earth! I examined myself, and realized I’m sincere in my worship, but I do not do it as if it were my last time on earth. Bentons Crossroads is a traditional church, and I prayed so hard for God to make my heart tender! We received communion that morning, and it meant just as much to my heart as when I receive communion at Stevens Creek Church. I learned I have become accepting of different styles, and my heart is truly tender! I RAN (literally) into the doors of Stevens Creek Church that night and worshiped, danced, learned, and laughed as if it would be my last time on this earth to do so (no one else is looking at you anyway)! Most importantly, I learned, MY EXCUSES ARE STUPID, AND YOURS ARE TOO! God has been speaking to my heart the past several weeks and he has called me into the ministry! God has asked me to be a teacher, mentor, counselor, speaker, writer; areas I used to be so naturally talented in! Years ago, however, I lost all self confidence and let my talents diminish with it. I’m sick and tired of allowing what happened to me in high school affect my life! Today I came up with a new motto for my life! I am not casually strolling, walking, or even jogging! God, I am RUNNING TO YOUR ARMS!
So I find myself giving into the “blogging world.” It is my first step back into writing, and to get my thoughts down on paper again! I will gladly welcome all prayers, advice and feedback!
Love you!
